A "penny" for your thoughts Grandad!
36 years ago, I could not have begun to comprehend the diverse and incredibly satisfying range of thoughts and feelings that cascaded through me today, as I held my tiny, sleeping grand-daughter!
Only a grandparent could understand: my hopes ... my dreams and my desires for this; and all my grandchildren!
On this day when thoughts normally turn to the past in celebration of yet another milestone, my thoughts are of the future; one now considerably brighter and more caring, with a greater chance of justice and equality, because of these little ones (and those whose lives they will touch) that consume my thoughts today!
