News from Queensland

I just received an email from Eumundi, Queensland; with news of my eldest pair of grandchildren. My grandson Bodhi, who recently turned 14 years of age; has taken up a new hobby - restoring and selling older model cars! My grandaughter Shania aged 8 years, has a new love in her life ... swimming!

Bodhi has set a rather ambitous goal for himself; he desperately wants to buy and restore a VR Commodore. Now at face value, that doesn't seems too ambitious, given that he has already restored many older cars for resale; but this one is a 'keeper'. This is his dream car!

We will be visiting the family in April this year. By then, according to his mother; Bodhi will not only have purchased the car (for cash - he has 6 jobs) but also restored it and fitted it out with:

• A new stereo system,
• Pod filter,
• Chrome muffler,
• Mags,
• Low profile tyres,
• Sports stearing wheel etc.

By way of incentive, I thought I would include the following photos of the same model car with a brief description.

This car has a detailed interior; has been lowered all round and sits on some nice 17" chromies. Under the bonnet are a set of advanced headers which flow into a 2.5" exhaust, and a racing air pod. This car also has a whopping great sound system in it.

Second Visit to Australia

A trip down memory lane!

April last year, just prior to his birthday, Banjo (and his mother) came to stay for a while. It was only the second time that we had seen Him since his birth - the first occasion was at about 4 months of age.

Here we treat Banjo to 'Aussie style' pizza at ... you guessed it: Pizza Hut (American franchise??).

Banjo was a real little gentleman and showed a degree of tolerance (for Grandad's teasing) far beyond his age!

After this footage was shot the two 'boys' took off playing 'hide and seek' up and down the aisles much to the consternation of some of the patrons!

It's hard to say who enjoyed the evening more, Banjo (often squealing with delight) or Grandad, 'grinning from ear to ear' between fits of raucous laughter!
